Salley Community Update, August 2024
Quick thoughts on AI and human potential, Next Salley Session on "Leading Change", Recap of last Session and Welcoming Micherre Fox as Operations and Growth lead.
Hey friends!
Happy Sunday. It’s a beautiful day here in San Francisco. Lately, I’ve been thinking deeply about how AI now gives us the opportunity to unlock human potential at scale.
Throughout history, humanity has experienced technological leaps that have redefined our capabilities and expanded our horizons. From the discovery of fire to the invention of the printing press, each breakthrough has ushered in new kinds of work in society.
Today, we stand at the precipice of another such revolution, Artificial Intelligence. By 2030 there’ll be new kinds of work. New roles that amplify what it means to be human - our soft skills, our quest for discovery and adventure, our thirst for belonging, etc.
It’s exciting to think about Salley’s place in a world where technology enhances human abilities so professionals can become their best, most effective selves.
And with that, here’s a quick update on what we’ve been up to:
Next Salley Session is on Aug 22 in NYC. The topic is ‘Leading Change’.
In a world of constant disruption, can you effectively guide your team through transformation?
Our next Salley Session is on Thursday, Aug 22nd at 6pm ET in the Financial District, NYC. The Session will be on Leading Change - there'll be a curated group of emerging leaders and executives from various top companies in the room. You’ll get to collaborate with peers to develop strategies for articulating vision, building coalitions, and overcoming resistance.
In addition, we'll have time to mix and mingle over drinks. Also, we'll also be sitting down with a Director from Meta (formerly Facebook) to talk about leading teams through big changes.
Recap of last Salley Session on ‘Designing your career’.
A few weeks ago we hosted yet another epic leadership development session in NYC. We were honored to have Tetiana Kyslytsyna - Director, Hedge Fund & Sustainable Investment Officer at UBS, lead at the session.
She has more than a decade of experience at UBS Hedge Fund Solutions, a $46B hedge fund allocator, across all hedge fund strategies, and building complex investment products.
As usual the session was attended by curated group of emerging leaders and executives from some of the best companies.
Welcome Micherre Fox as Operations and Growth Lead at Salley.
Micherre brings in 8+ years of experience leading operations and growth, as Senior Managing Partner at York Capital Management and at Saturn (series B startup backed by Nikita Bier, SV Angel, Robert Downey Jr., etc.). She’s a former founder who raised seed, went to market and became profitable in 18 months.
How you can help:
We’re looking to have more conversations with People (CPO, CHRO, VP People) and Operations (COO, President, etc.) leaders who works at a Series B or later company.
We’ll give you a special gift if you make a great connection!
Reach out if you have any ideas on how we can collaborate to empower rising leaders and executives so they can thrive at work :)
