Hey friends!
Fall is just around the corner. Where did the time go, haha?! The last 8 months have passed so quickly. That being said, we’ve accomplished a whole lot since the year began. I can’t wait to share the vast majority of what’s happening behind the scenes at Salley. One thing is for sure, it’s going to transform how companies develop their leaders internally.
Speaking of that, it’s crazy how AI innovation is still accelerating at a rapid pace. Just this past week, OpenAI announced it’s latest generation of models (the o1 series) designed to handle complex reasoning tasks and solve harder problems. As one person put it, “it’s like having a Ph.D. in your pocket”.
This gets me even more excited about what we’re building at Salley! The workplace as we know it today is changing quickly. As a result, companies and individuals who embrace and develop their uniquely human skills will be at a tremendous advantage in the workplace of tomorrow. Alright! Now, let’s get into what we’ve been up to over the last month:
We hosted a Salley Session on ‘Leading Change’.
We hosted another epic leadership development session in New York!
Topic of the evening was "Leading Change" with Session leader Max Segan - Senior Engineering Director at Meta. He spoke about his experience navigating 12 years of leadership at Meta: the shift in challenges faced as the team he led grew and what it looks like to own and represent the decisions your company makes.
After that, participants moved into discussing their experiences with leading change at their various companies - the fears, frustrations, and excitements.
The Salley team went above and beyond to make this happen :)
